The people have spoken! Congratulations to Team Ginkgo for winning the People’s Choice Award for their structure, Woven Haven! Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote at timberfever.com over the past week. It was a very close race, with two other teams coming in very close.
Last month, 96 university students participated in the TimberFever Design-Build Competition. Held at Ryerson University, students were placed into 16 teams comprised of architecture and civil engineering programs from six universities. Over the course of the four-day competition, industry leaders worked with the students on their concepts and construction, and a panel of judges announced the first, second and third place winners.
The People’s Choice Award was open for public voting all last week and over 1000 people voted. Team Ginkgo, who was also the second place winner this year, won the People’s Choice Award.
