TimberFever Winners Announced!

The Results Are In!

Moses Structural Engineers presented the third annual #TimberFever Design-Build Competition this past weekend, and the results are in!

The event was a tremendous success with 16 teams from six universities across Ontario, including Ryerson, Carleton, Laurentian, Queen’s, Waterloo, and University of Toronto. Students were tasked with building a “Reading Room,” and over the course of the four-day competition, they demonstrated teamwork, communication, time-management, and woodworking skills.

We were blown away by the immense support of industry leaders who invested time in mentoring the teams and assisting with construction over the weekend, and judging the competition this past Sunday. The contestants were truly inspired by you! View the TimberFever Judges & Mentors.

About TimberFever

TimberFever was created by Moses Structural Engineers (MSE). MSE’s principal, David Moses, wanted a design-build competition that would create collaboration between architects and engineers while they’re still in university. Three years later, this event has doubled in size and we are so grateful for the overwhelming response to the competition. All of us at Moses Structural Engineers look forward to working with the TimberFever “family” of trades, suppliers, mentors, judges, sponsors, and of course, the students! @mosesstructures @timberfever

When David Moses of Moses Structural Engineers brought the concept of a student design-build competition to Ryerson University, he found an excellent partner in coordinating and hosting this event – not just for the architectural science and civil engineering students at Ryerson, but for all the additional universities across Ontario who participated this year. Thank you, Ryerson!
