The University of Guelph Turfgrass Institute is a two-storey institutional building designed to support teaching, research, and collaboration in turfgrass science and environmental management.
The facility includes classrooms, offices, laboratories, and multi-use learning and research spaces. The structure uses a hybrid system of mass timber, steel, concrete, and masonry, supporting both the building’s programmatic needs and its sustainable design goals.
The building features green roofs, large glazed walls for daylighting, rainwater harvesting, and other sustainable features that reflect the Institute’s focus on environmental research and innovation.
