Robert Street Shade Structure
The University of Toronto redeveloped the corner of Robert Street and Sussex Avenue in downtown Toronto to transform an existing brownfield into a new community playground. The site incorporates an ecofriendly geoexchange system below ground and three new shade structures for visitors of the park. Moses Structural Engineers designed the sloped columns, foundations, and the perforated tree-like canopies built from a combination of structural steel and powder coated aluminum.
