The Qikiqtait Centre is likely to be the first net-zero commercial building in Nunavut. It features structural insulated panels, solar rooftop PV, air and water heat recovery, and heat pumps. Mass timber, glulam, and nail laminated timber (NLT) panels are left exposed throughout the building, including the exhibit space, meeting room, lab and research spaces, and living areas.
