McCulloch Trestle

Built in 2002, this 300-foot long trestle on the former Kettle Valley Railway has a substructure of penta-treated Douglas fir glulam and a pressure treated wood deck designed for a small maintenance vehicle, pedestrian traffic and horses. The bridge was designed using 3D solid models and outputted to automated CNC fabrication. The design features details for durability included orienting members and connections to shed water. David Moses worked on this project while at previous firm.
