University of Guelph Honey Bee Research Centre
The new Honey Bee Research Centre at the University of Guelph will be 15,000 sq.ft and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024. The center will include a 100-hive apiary alongside research space, production and outreach programs, laboratories, offices, and classrooms. The space will serve many purposes including hosting school groups and social functions, enabling world-class research, and functioning as a demonstration facility for best practices in commercial beekeeping and honey production.
