Working alongside the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Moses Structural Engineers created course materials and a full-scale mock-up for a 6-month training program focusing on Mass Timber Construction. Students can earn Introductory or Associate Certificates by learning and demonstrating their knowledge of various mass timber products and connectors as well as topics such as preparation, site logistics, and material handling. The course’s final segment requires students to demonstrate their learning through the assembly of the two-storey mass timber mock-up. This course provides a unique opportunity for those entering the skilled trades to gain a background in this popular material.
