192 Spadina Avenue Ramp
This new accessible ramp for an existing 6-storey 1920’s office building provides a unique and aesthetic accessway at the entrance. When faced with improving access in existing buildings, we typically use steel, concrete or wood frame construction. In this case, in collaboration with the architect, Moses Structural Engineers designed the new wood-platform ramp with minimal steel guards and handrails that provides accessibility and reuses heavy timber reclaimed from past historic buildings of Toronto.
