Moses Structural Engineers will be joining housing leaders from across the country at the Canada Builds Modern Summit 2026, taking place October 7–8 at the Globe and Mail Centre in Toronto.
Our team will be attending the Summit and exhibiting in the Innovation Expo on Day 1, where we look forward to connecting with developers, builders, manufacturers, policymakers and others working to advance new approaches to housing delivery in Canada.
Canada Builds Modern is a national gathering focused on moving housing innovation from promising ideas to projects that can be delivered at scale. This year’s expanded two-day program will explore the systems needed to increase housing production, with discussions spanning modern methods of construction, financing, procurement, regulation, manufacturing capacity and design excellence.
The Summit has a particular focus on modern methods of construction (MMC), including prefabrication, modular and industrialized construction, robotics, AI and digital delivery systems. Its goal is to bring together the people and organizations needed to help innovative approaches move from pilot projects toward mainstream housing delivery.
These are conversations closely connected to our work at Moses Structural Engineers. As structural engineers, we see firsthand how decisions around structural systems, materials, manufacturing, approvals and construction methodology can influence a project’s cost, schedule and ability to scale. Our experience with mass timber, prefabricated and off-site construction, modular systems and alternative approaches to building has reinforced the importance of bringing engineering expertise into these conversations early.
The 2026 program will bring together policymakers, builders, designers, manufacturers, financiers, regulators, community housing organizations and emerging leaders, with sessions focused on translating national housing ambitions into practical delivery. The Summit will ultimately contribute to a 12-Month Roadmap for Scaling Housing Delivery in Canada, identifying priorities and opportunities for continued action following the event.
