Coming this Friday, September 25, 2015, Moses Structural Engineers presents the first ever #TimberFever Design-Build Challenge at Ryerson University. We’re teaming up architectural science and civil engineering students to put their knowledge of woodwork and design to the test and build a life-size structure.
The event is taking place this Friday September 25 until Tuesday September 29th at Ryerson University. We’ll reveal the design brief which announces the type of structure they’ll be making at the start of the competition. Winners will be selected based on aesthetics, structural design, originality and presentation, and will receive a cash prize. We have a panel of amazing judges and mentors lined up.
The general public is invited to watch the final build take place on Ryerson’s Gould Street on Sunday afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m.
Our Mission
Architects and engineers don’t often cross paths until their first job where they have to work together. Our mission is to create a collaboration between them much earlier while they’re still students. We believe that developing their design, construction and communication skills together will create an even brighter group of graduates.
